LONG LASTING
BIOCIDE-FREE
EASY TO APPLY
Crystal Prop is a self-cleaning, biocide-free, non-exfoliating, long-lasting paint. Designed specifically for use on Propellers, Shafts, Struts, SailDrives, Outdrives, and other metallic underwater gear. When applied, it creates a durable hard, slick surface that marine growth does not adhere to. Crystal Prop does not need a primer, thanks to its superior adhesion to metal. This makes it extremely durable and will hold up to propeller cavitation. The Crystal Prop kit consists of two bottles containing paint and hardener, which are mixed with a 1:1 ratio. This is a single-coat application that can be applied by brush or spray.
Each Kit Includes
- Paint
- Hardener

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
It is important to follow the instructions fully. Like any paint, correct application is very important. Be sure to sand the surfaces aggressively and wait 48 hours prior to launch.
Step 1 - Clean The Surface
Clean propellers and underwater gear well. Remove all traces of marine growth, contaminants, old antifouling and grease.
Step 2 - Prep The Surface
Aggressively sand metallic surfaces with 80 grit sandpaper. For sterndrives and saildrive legs with original metallic coating; use 120 grit.
Step 3 - Clean Surface
Wipe down the metallic surfaces with acetone to remove any signs of dust, oil and grease.
Step 4 - Mix Crystal Prop
Mix Crystal Part A and Hardener Part B in a 1:1 ratio. Be sure to mix thoroughly and gently so as not to create bubbles.
Step 5 - Apply Crystal Prop
Apply Crystal Prop using a brush or spray gun (1.2mm nozzle and filters up to 190 micron). Apply only one coat in a thin, smooth layer (approx. 60 micron).
Let Dry
Crystal Prop will be touch dry in 2 hours, fully dry in 12 hours and the boat will be ready to launch in the water in 48 hours.
